About this product
Oldham bamboo shoots curve like a horn and are dug before the tip breaks the soil, giving fine white flesh that is sweet, juicy and almost never bitter — boiled and chilled, they are Taiwan's summer favourite. The main season runs May to July, peaking June–July. Fresh shoots are perishable, so exports move on an unbroken cold chain or as cooked frozen shoots.
