About this product
Originally from Japan, Xinxing (Shinko) is one of the main varieties of Taiwan's top-grafted pears: temperate pear flower buds are grafted onto Hengshan pear trees at low to mid elevation so lowland orchards can grow temperate pears. The large, round fruit has yellow-brown skin and crisp, juicy white flesh, sweet with a touch of acidity. In Dongshi (Taichung) and Zhuolan (Miaoli) the season runs from early July to early August.
