About this product
Baodao Ganlu ("Formosa Nectar") was bred by Dahu (Miaoli) grower Liu Shen-chuan from a cross of Xinxing (female) and Taichung No. 2 (male), and received plant variety rights in 2018. The large fruit has light-brown skin and fine, juicy flesh with a clean sugarcane-like sweetness, and it keeps better than other pears. It now makes up about 80% of Taiwan's top-grafted pear area, with a season from late July to late August.
