Mango

Taiwan's mangoes come mainly from Tainan, Pingtung and Kaohsiung, with Irwin and Jinhuang the export leaders for Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Korea. Varieties follow one another through the season — the indigenous mango starts in May and Keitt runs into October. Export fruit must reach 12 °Brix, and Japan, Korea and the EU require vapour heat treatment.
