Guava

Year-round Taiwanese guava — crisp white-fleshed and fragrant red-fleshed types.

Taiwan produces guava year-round, with Yanchao, Dashe and Alian in Kaohsiung the largest areas. Pearl and Emperor have crisp, sweet white flesh and travel well; Red Heart has soft, juicy, fragrant red flesh. Quality is best in winter when day–night temperatures differ most.
